At Kambio, we are committed to creating a supportive and enriching learning experience for Grade 12 students. Our content is carefully designed to be clear, engaging, and effective — helping students build understanding, confidence, and familiarity with exam-style questions.
We believe that when students know what to expect and understand the work deeply, they are better equipped to perform at their best.
The Founder
Background and experience
Hi, I’m Kayla — the founder of Kambio.
Since finishing school at St Mary’s DSG, I have been involved in many different ventures leading me to this point.
I completed my undergrad and Honours (cum laude) in Physiological Sciences at Stellenbosch University. During my first few months there, however, lockdown was implemented and many things changed. In the midst of uncertainty and difficulty for many students still at school, a friend and I started an initiative that resulted in hundreds of 2020 Matrics receiving free educational support, materials and lessons.
From then on, and throughout my studies, I continued tutoring high school students, and it quickly became something I really cared about. And then in 2024, I turned that into a full-time business.
I have found a real sense of purpose in helping students understand their work, build confidence, and start believing in their abilities. That’s what led to Kambio — a platform built to do the same thing, just on a bigger scale.
My hope is that every student using Kambio feels supported and capable - like they’re not just getting through the work, but actually understanding it. I have designed the Physical Sciences and Mathematics lessons to do just that - being engaging, practical, and focused on clear and true understanding.
